Working Vintage Apple Macintosh Classic II Computer & Original Apple Box

Working

You are bidding on a fully tested working Macintosh Classic II computer with accessories in the original Apple box. Everyone has their favorite vintage Mac. The Classic II has the distinction of being the last of the compact Macs to have a black and white display and the last to have a port for an external floppy drive. It was also an important part of Apple's attempt in the early 1990's to reach a wider market with lower prices products. To learn more about the Classic II, please click here. This particular Classic II is serial number SG25105RD22, and it is a real collectible. The case is as perfect as any I have ever seen: No chips, cracks, gouges, or discoloration. It comes with the keyboard, mouse, and cables (photo 8). AND: It comes in the original Apple shipping box with almost all the styrofoam inserts (photos 8 and 9). The serial numbers on the box and styrofoam inserts match that on the computer. Inside, this Classic II is also super clean (photo 4). The memory has been maxed out (10 megabytes) and it has a 40 megabyte hard drive which boots System 7.5. A new backup battery was installed so that the date and time are maintained correctly even when the computer is unplugged. Software includes Word 5.0, Excel 3.0, and quite a few games. Photo 5 shows the full system configuration. This Classic II has been fully tested. It boots up System 7.5 from the 40 megabyte internal hard drive. The screen is bright and sharp (see photos). (The light bands you see in some screen photos are caused by my digital camera. You will not see them when you use the computer.) I ran the complete set of Apple hardware diagnostics and this computer passed them all (photo 6). This is a very reliable Classic II. The only problem I found was that there is no sound. This auction includes the Classic II, compact keyboard, mouse, all necessary cables, and the original box. If you are looking for a near perfect example of the last monochrome compact Mac for fun and games or to add to your Mac collection, I think you will like this one. On request I will send the auction winner at no charge PDF e-mail attachments containing the official Apple service manual for the Classic II. Hard to find and very useful. I have been collecting and restoring vintage computers for a long time. Please see my future auctions for more vintage Apple computers and peripherals, plus occasional other vintage computing items. TERMS & CONDITIONS I don't have a lot of silly rules and hoops for buyers: Pay for your item and I'll send it you. I've been a buyer and a seller on eBay for twelve years and have a near perfect feedback record. I'll trust you and you can trust me to do right. Please use the eBay shipping calculator to figure your shipping cost. I have shipped vintage Macs all over the world safely, and your Classic II will be packed with care and respect. Due to the delicate nature of vintage computers, however, this machine is not returnable. SHIPPING NOTE: I have estimated the shipping cost without an outer box. If you want me to ship the Apple box inside a larger box to protect it I will be happy to do so, but the shipping cost will be a bit higher. If you wish to have me use an outer box, please notify me before you pay and I will send an invoice with the revised shipping cost. FOREIGN BUYERS: The size of the Apple box exceeds the maximum size for International Priority Mail to may countries. If your country has a US Postal size limit less than 90 inches (length + girth), please contact me for a shipping cost estimate by Global Express Mail before bidding. I am happy to ship anywhere in the world, but shipping to many countries will be very expensive due to size and weight.
